    Well, I haven't posted in a while. So in honor of my return to the Wide
    World of User Created (read: Stolen) Content, I give you an add for the
    new version of Google Reader.

    I
    had actualy stopped using Good Reader, because of the layout and bad
    design, but with this new update I'm switching back from newhutch.

  • Xanga Used By Children?

    From MSNBC:

    Social networking Web site Xanga.com
    will pay $1 million -- the largest penalty ever issued for
    violations of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act -- for
    repeatedly allowing children under 13 to sign up for the service
    without getting their parent's consent, the Federal Trade Commission
    announced Thursday.

    In its complaint, the
    FTC alleged that Xanga, a rival to the popular MySpace.com, allegedly
    permitted creation of 1.7 million accounts by users who submitted
    birthdays indicating they were under 13. Collecting personal
    information from anyone under 13 without parental consent is a
    violation of the children's protection act, or COPPA, which was passed
    by Congress in 1998.

    I found this
    map     to be very interesting. It maps Google's traffic over the
    course of a day. You can see the ebbs and flows of it. It's also
    interesting that some parts of the North America, Europe and Japan
    never go dark. Tokyo's pixel doesn't even
    dull.
